This agreement has a new approach that is aimed at improving living standards. The main emphasis is on compensation for those who have the lowest salary in compliance with the mood of society today. It was our intention from the start of negotiations to get a wage increase in fixed króna amounts but also to have it partly linked to the development of economic growth. Also our tariff rate will be annual re-evaluated in the light of wage developments in the private sector. Further, the work week is shortened, which was one of LÍV/VR's main issues during the negotiations, and working hour flexibility is increased. One of the main goals of the agreement is to promote interest rate cuts that should increase household disposable income.
The agreement period is from 1. April 2019 to 1. November 2022.
Voting begins on Thursday 11. April and runs until noon on 15. April.
We urge everyone to study the agreement, exercise their voting rights, and vote.
Every single vote counts!
